“All grace flows from mercy, and the last hour abounds with mercy for us. Let no one doubt concerning the goodness of God; even if a person’s sins were as dark as night, God’s mercy is stronger than our misery. One thing alone is necessary; that the sinner set ajar the door of his heart, be it ever so little, to let in a ray of God’s merciful grace, and then God will do the rest.” ~ St. Faustina Kowalska (October 5th)

“Always be grateful for the days that the Lord gives you.” ~ Blessed Marie-Rose Durocher (October 6th)

“Only those who have experienced the solitude and the silence of the wilderness can know the benefit and divine joy they bring to those who love them.” ~ St. Bruno of Cologne (October 6th)

“Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams.” ~ Pope St. John XXIII (October 11th)

“Let nothing disturb you. Let nothing frighten you, all things are passing away. God never changes. Patience obtains all things. Whoever has God lacks nothing. God alone suffices.” ~ St. Teresa of Ávila (October 15th)

“How I grieve, my God, that you are not known, that this savage country is not yet wholly converted to faith in you, that sin is not yet blotted out!” ~ St. Jean de Brébeuf (October 19th in the US)

“Build an oratory within yourself, and there have Jesus on the altar of your heart. Speak to Him often while you are doing your work. Speak to Him of His holy love, of His holy sufferings and of the sorrows of most holy Mary.” ~ St. Paul of the Cross (October 20th in the US)

“It is the duty of every man to uphold the dignity of every woman.” ~ Pope St. John Paul II (October 22nd)
