Today, March 25th is the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord!

Archangel Gabriel was sent to the Blessed Virgin Mary to announce that she was chosen to bear the Son of God.

This event is known as the Annunciation.

Saint Spotlight: Joseph

Today, March 19th is the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary!

I wasn’t planning to post today. Those who follow my blog know that I normally post on Thursday.

I planned to be in another country this week attending a special retreat.

I was preparing for the trip for weeks but was forced to cancel last minute because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This experience and the current global situation prompted me to write this post.

I heard an incredible conversion story while watching a video of Venerable Fulton Sheen.

It’s about an atheist doctor who was a fall-away Catholic and his Catholic wife.

I was deeply touched by this true story and want to share it with you.

Lent began last week on Ash Wednesday, February 26th.

First, I’ll give information about Lent.

Then, I’ll give suggestions for this important, holy season.

The saints are one of the most beautiful aspects of the Catholic Faith.

We connect to different saints for different reasons.
