The 3-Way Pardon Indulgence Crucifix is a powerful sacramental.
First, I’ll share the story of how I ended up with a 3-Way Pardon Indulgence Crucifix.
Then, I’ll share what it is and where to get one.
Story
In the summer of 2018 I wanted to make a Rosary for someone I had recently met.
I’ll refer to this person as Barnabas for the sake of telling the story, but it’s not the real name.
I searched for a crucifix and found the perfect one.
It’s a Pardon Crucifix with a bronze finish, which was Barnabas’ favorite finish.
Included are a St. Benedict Medal and a Miraculous Medal, which were both relevant to the person.
I didn’t know how to string a Rosary, so I put the crucifix in a safe place for later.
Many events unfolded, and I didn’t know if or when I would be able to give Barnabas the gift – but I had a few special ideas.
Interestingly, Barnabas made me a Rosary with a bronze crucifix in 2019.
Fast forward to September 2023, and it became clear that my plan for Barnabas’ gift wouldn’t come to fruition.
I was immediately reminded of the Pardon Crucifix but didn’t remember where I put it because I moved twice since buying it.
After a short prayer to St. Anthony, I found it in a safe place!
I wasn’t sure what to do with it because I thought it was intended for Barnabas.
I was distraught and inconsolable during that time, for many reasons.
I felt God telling me to keep the Pardon Crucifix and to begin using it.
I felt confused, but I accepted God’s wish.
The Pardon Crucifix was blessed by a priest on September 24, 2023 – the Feast of Our Lady of Mercy aka Our Lady of Ransom.
It currently remains on my desk. I hold and kiss it multiple times a day and ask for the indulgence.
I don’t know if this is God’s ultimate plan for the Pardon Crucifix or why He rejected my plans, but it’s a guarantee that His plan is better than mine…

Description
Just in from Italy, this beautiful piece packs the 3 most powerful sacramentals of the Church into one piece! Attached to this Pardon Crucifix is also a Miraculous Medal and a St Benedict medal! Perfect as a pendant or for rosary making, Made in Italy with a bronze finish which gives a richly detailed, 3-dimensional finishing touch as only the Italians have perfected. This large crucifix is 2-1/8 inches tall and wonderfully detailed. The word indulgence originally meant kindness or favor. In Latin it meant the remission of a tax or debt. Under Roman law it was used to express release from captivity or punishment. In this instance, an indulgence is given to remit the temporal punishment of sin that has been forgiven. These indulgences have been declared upon the Pardon Crucifix by Pope St. Pius X in 1905, and have been approved in the pardon of the living and the souls in Purgatory in 1907.
1. Whoever carries on his person the Pardon Crucifix, may thereby gain an indulgence.
2. For devoutly kissing the Crucifix, an indulgence is gained.
3. Whoever says one of the following invocations before this crucifix may gain each time an indulgence: “Our Father who art in heaven, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” “I beg the Blessed Virgin Mary to pray to the Lord our God for me.”
4. Whoever, habitually devout to this Crucifix, will fulfill the necessary conditions of Confession and Holy Communion, may gain a Plenary Indulgence on the following feasts: On the feasts of the Five Wounds of our Lord, the Invention of the Holy Cross, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, the Immaculate Conception, and the Seven Sorrows (Dolors) of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
5. Whoever, at the moment of death, fortified with the Sacraments of the Church, or contrite of heart, in the supposition of being unable to receive them, will kiss this Crucifix and ask pardon of God for his sins, and pardon his neighbor, will gain a Plenary Indulgence.
The Front of the Crucifix: Above the cruciform figure, the familiar I.N.R.I. has been inscribed with the words “Jesus Nazarenus Rex Judaeorum.” Latin uses I instead of the English J, and V instead of U (Iesvs Nazarenvs Rex Ivdaeorvm). The English translation is “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.” The Reverse of the Crucifix: On the transverse arms are the words, “Father, forgive them.” On the vertical beam of the Cross are the words, “Behold this heart which has so loved men.” An image of The Sacred Heart of Jesus is shown in the center. The crucifix also features a St Benedict and a Miraculous Medal, front and back.
