For God’s Glory

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted here. There are a number of reasons for that…

This post is a bit shorter than my previous posts, which may not be a terrible thing since I can be wordy at times.

Recent experiences have been an important reminder that we must listen to and follow the Lord at all times.

The purpose of our actions must always be to serve and glorify God.

If we live merely for ourselves, rather than for the Lord and our neighbor, then we are missing the point.

When a person follows God with a sincere, humble and open heart, it’s seen by others and touches them in some way.

A person who lives to serve the Lord appears to have a light radiating from inside of them; and this is the light of Christ.

This light is bright and beautiful. This light is infectious and affects those who come into contact with it.

We are each called to spread this light to one another through our words, actions, presence, and prayers.

Even though there is evil in the world, it does not “win” because the light of Christ illuminates and defeats the darkness.

We need not despair or become discouraged by what we see happening around us or by the challenges we face.

The Lord is always with us, and He often reveals Himself to us through those we meet.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16)
