Saints Alive Podcast

Happy All Saints Day!

The Solemnity of All Saints is celebrated on the first of November. It was instituted to honour all of the saints, both known and unknown, and, according to Pope Urban IV, to supply any deficiencies in the faithful’s celebration of saints’ feasts during the year (Catholic Encyclopedia).

Today is a Holy Day of Obligation in the United States which means all Catholics must attend Mass under penalty of mortal sin (the same as Sundays).

In honor of the Solemnity, I want to share a great resource: Saints Alive Podcast.

About

A radio theater podcast for kids that tells the stories of the saints like never before! Geared towards children ages 6-12, this podcast is full of adventure, heroism, virtue and humor. The stories of the saints for your little saints in the making.

I discovered the podcast May of this year.

I can honestly say it’s NOT only meant for children.

It’s engaging, moving, encouraging, creative, and educational.

The episodes are well-made and give an accurate portrayal of each Saint’s story.

The creators spend one hundred plus hours researching and creating each episode, and it shows.

The creators are Catholics who seem to have a genuine desire to share the Saints with others, especially children and families.

Two of the creators are actors who left Hollywood because of the conflict between their Catholic Faith and the entertainment industry.

Go listen with your family and friends, or on your own!

You can listen to the episodes on the Saints Alive website and/or any podcast platform.

Note: I have no affiliation with the podcast. I receive no monetary or material compensation for promoting it. I simply think it’s a great ministry and resource. I believe it can help change the culture and help us become saints
